MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TENN. (Nov. 24, 2007) --- The Milligan College women's cross country team claimed the NAIA Champions of Character team award at the recent NAIA National Cross Country Championships.

Through their campus, community and global initiatives the Lady Buffs have kept the responsibility of giving back to others a top priority. Independent of the coaching staff or administration the Lady Buffs formed a 'task force' that would determine the ways in which the team could give back to those who supported them, and those that are less fortunate.

Each individual on the team shares a passion for running, but more importantly we share a passion to positively impact the lives of those around us. The 'task force' is our way of giving back," said team co-captain Jacklyn Talbert (Mt. Carmel, Tenn).
