Milligan College, Tenn. (June 25, 2010) --- Steve Howard, the head professional and general manager at Elizabethton Golf Course, has been named as an assistant coach for the Milligan College golf program. Head coach Tony Wallingford made the announcement.
Howard comes to the Milligan golf program with impressive credentials and experience. He has been the head professional and general manager at Elizabethton Golf Course since 1999. Prior to coming to EGC, Howard spent nine years as the head professional at Greenhill Country Club in Louisburg, N.C.
Howard brings extensive college golf coaching experience to the Milligan program, having served as the head golf coach at Louisburg College (N.C.) from 1979-1990. During that period, Howard made great strides with the Hurricanes program and was named Eastern Tar Heel Conference Coach of the Year in 1986.
