Buff basketball to hold summer camp

Milligan College, Tenn. (May 18, 2010) --- The Milligan College men’s basketball program will host two five-day camps this summer, June 28-July 2 and July 5-9. The camps will be held on the campus of Milligan College inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

Head Coach Bill Robinson and his staff will instruct campers on the fundamentals of basketball.  The camp is designed for ages 7-17 and will feature individual instruction time as well as competitions.

“We are really excited about summer basketball camps here at Milligan,” Robinson said. “Camp is a great way to get kids excited about basketball while teaching the fundamentals of the game. We also have a lot of fun with games and competitions, before finishing the day with a dip in the pool. We strive to find every child’s ability level and structure our program to their needs. Everyone, whether beginners or those striving to earn college scholarship, will benefit from Milligan basketball camps.”

The cost of the camp is $150 and $115 for Milligan alumni. In addition to the instruction, campers will receive a Milligan camp t-shirt, a Milligan basketball, an evaluation and lunch each day.

Milligan basketball adds Kraus

Milligan College, Tenn. (June 7, 2010) --- The Milligan College men’s basketball program has added Steven Kraus to the 2010-11 signing class. Head Coach Bill Robinson made the announcement.

The 6-foot-7 forward attended Oldsmar Christian School in Oldsmar, Fla., where he served as team captain. He averaged nine points and seven rebounds during his high school career.

“Steven is a versatile forward that will give us flexibility and depth at multiple positions,” Robinson said. “He is a very unselfish player and excellent team defender. He can also score with his back to the basket or knock down a jumper from behind the 3-point arc. We are very excited about the addition of Steven to our college community and to our program.”

Kraus earned Oldsmar Christian School’s prestigious Eagle of Excellence award for his success both on the court and in the classroom where he maintained a 4.0 GPA during his junior and senior years. He was also chosen as a member of the 2009-10 North Pinellas County Private School All-Star team.
