Milligan College, Tenn. (April 27, 2009) --- Rusty Baxter of Berean Christian High School in Knoxville, Tenn., signed recently to continue his soccer career with the Milligan College men's soccer team.
Baxter is a midfielder who has played consistently for his club team, the Lakeway Kickers. Region III Premier League Champions in 2006, the Kickers also placed second in the region in 2007 and 2008. Baxter received All-District First Team and All-Region as a junior.
“Rusty is an extremely hard worker,” said Head Coach Adam Laney . “He's a very determined player, and he's very active. We expect him to use those things to inspire the guys around him.”
Rusty Baxter lives in Knoxville with his parents, Phil and Scottie Baxter.
Soccer Buffs to host Day Camp
Milligan College, Tenn. (Feb. 19, 2009) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team will be hosting the Milligan Soccer Day Camp during March 16-20 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The camp is for kids ages 5-12. The sessions will focus on enjoying the world's game while developing the fundamental skills needed to play it at a high level. In addition to the instruction, campers will enjoy game and pool time. Lunch will be provided each day. The price for the camp is $125.
