Milligan tennis camp rescheduled

Milligan College, Tenn. (June 18, 2009) --- The Milligan College tennis camp that was scheduled for June 15-18 has been rescheduled due to weather. The new dates for the camp are June 22-25.  

Head Coach Ron Worrell and his staff will help beginners to advanced players improve their tennis ability through various drills and match situations. Coach Worrell will be joined by several of the Buffs' and Lady Buffs' varsity tennis squad. The Milligan coaching staff and team members will give personal attention each day to the campers to help them become better players.

The camp is designed for athletes between the ages of 11-16, and is scheduled to last from 9-11:30 a.m. each day. The entry fee for the camp has been reduced to just $50. Entry fee includes camp T-shirt and four days of instruction. Camp registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 22.

Sullivan Central's Brown inks with Buffs

Milligan College, Tenn. (May 15, 2009) --- The Milligan College men’s tennis team signed Sullivan Central’s Mickey Brown to join the Buffs for the 2009-10 season.  

Brown played two seasons at Sullivan Central and was awarded with post season accolades both years. As a junior, Brown was selected to the All-Conference honorable mention squad. This past season, Brown was named to the All-Conference second team.

“I'm proud to add Mickey Brown to our lineup,” commented Head Coach Ron Worrell. “He plays a solid game with a quickness on the court that brings an element of excitement to every match. His dedication to the sport of tennis will serve him well.”
