Buffs end Fall season third
Hendersonville, N.C. (September 18, 2007) --- The Milligan College men's golf team placed third in the opening half of the regular season conference tournament and placed fifth out of 14 teams at the Montreat Invitational. They played at Crooked Creek Golf Club; it is a 6,800 yard, par 72 course.
North Greenville University won the tournament with a two day total of 594 (290/304). The Buff's shot a total of 619 (307/312). Grayson Patton (Fries, Va.) took the top spot on Milligan's team with a total of 150 (72/78). Ben Treadway (Johnson City, Tenn.) came in second with 153 (76/77) and Ben Reno (Plainfield, Ind.) came next with 154 (79/75). Jay Bernhardt (Johnston City, Ill.) rounded out the top four with 162 (80/82).
Milligan's Grayson Patton comments, “As a team, we performed better at different times throughout the tournament and this shows the good composure of the team. If we all work hard in the off season, become more solid, and all click on the same day, we should have a very good spring season.”
