Anderson signs to play golf at Milligan

Milligan College, Tenn. (Dec 12, 2007) --- Logan Anderson, a standout golfer for McMinn Central High School in Englewood, Tenn., has signed a letter of intent to attend Milligan College and play golf for the Buffaloes announced Milligan College Head Coach Tony Wallingford.

Anderson helped lead McMinn Central to two consecutive District titles and two Regional appearances. He finished 5 th individually in the district tournament this past fall. Anderson plays for Coach Doug Armstrong and had a 78 stroke average this past season. Anderson competed in several AAJGT events during the summer and finished as high as 5 th in the Stonebridge Open in Rome, Ga.

Milligan College golf program is coming off their third AAC championship in the past four years. The Buffs won the NAIA Region XII Championship in 2007, advancing all the way to the NAIA National Championships in Plymouth, Ind. this past spring.

Milligan coach Tony Wallingford is happy to have Anderson join the Buffs. “ Logan has a tremendous upside as a golfer. I believe his best golf is ahead of him. He's a hard worker and will continue improve. He comes from a good program and has had success in many of the junior events in the region. Above all, Logan is a quality young man and a great fit for our program,” concluded Wallingford.

Anderson, an honor roll student, will enter Milligan as a pre-pharmacy/pre-med student in the fall.

He is the son of Jeff and Shannon Anderson of Englewood, Tenn.
