Buffs settle for tie

Lookout Mountain, Ga. (September 15, 2007) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team battled throughout the game with conference foe Covenant College, but nothing prevailed leaving the score at 0-0. The game went into double overtime, but both teams struggled to score.

Head Coach Dave Dixon said, “the team played well, but we need to work harder to finish,” and he said “the men kept their heads and didn't allow the fans to get to them.”

Bryan Newbold (Sylva, N.C.) had some exceptional saves to keep the team in the game. Also the defensive players showed some tremendous work ethic to shut out Covenant.

The buffs return to action when they travel to Indiana to play Bethel College, on Sept. 21, 2007. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
