Buffs battle for close finish
Central, S.C. (August 29, 2007) --- The Milligan College men's soccer team, nationally ranked 14 in preseason polls, battled throughout the night against Southern Wesleyan, but unfortunately they were unable to recover from the Warriors free kick goal in the 76 minute of the game.
The Milligan Buffaloes out shot the Warriors 10 to six. They also had three corner kicks and the Warriors had two corner kicks, but they came to no avail. The team is looking forward to more contributions from the strong recruiting class in the upcoming games.
“It was a learning experience for the new freshman and it was a good first outing for the team, but unfortunately they got a soft goal,” said head coach Dave Dixon.
The Milligan College men's soccer team will be back in action on Friday, Aug. 31, at 7p.m. against Marian College at Anglin Field on Milligan's campus.
