Lady Buffs trample the Rams

Bluefield, Va. (Dec. 8, 2007) --- The Milligan College Lady Buffs had a dominating performance against conference foe Bluefield College, as they defeated the Rams 82-56.

Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) had another stellar performance, as she led the team with 20 points. Baughman pulled in six rebounds and five steals for the Lady Buffs. Freshman Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) had another consistent performance for the Lady Buffs with 14 points. Mandela was aggressive throughout the game as she had three blocks and four steals.

The Lady Buffs shot 10 for 24 from the three point line and forced the Rams to shoot 8 for 34 from outside the arc. The dominance of the Lady Buffs carried throughout the game as they had a commanding halftime lead 42-25.

“We went out tonight and executed our game plan from the start of the game to the final buzzer,” commented Head Coach Rich Aubrey. “This was a great way for us to end as we go into our holiday break.”

The Lady Buffs improved their conference record to 3-1. They travel to Defiance, Ohio where they will face Marian College in the first round of the Defiance Tournament. The game is set to tip-off at 6pm., on December 14.
