Lady Buffs lose in overtime

Brevard, N.C. (November 29, 2007) -- The Milligan College women's basketball team overcame a 7 point half time deficit to force overtime play against Brevard College, but they came up short as they lost 72-79.

The Lady Buffs were led by freshman Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) with a double-double. She had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Buffs. Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) was the team's second leading scorer with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Leah Anderson (Lexington, Ky.) also scored in double figures with 12 points.

The game was a battle to the end, but the Lady Buffs just came up short. The women's basketball team will be back in action when they travel to Bristol, Virginia to take on conference foe Virginia Intermont. The game is scheduled to start at 2 pm, on December 1.
