Disappointing loss for Lady Buffs

Rio Grande, Ohio (Nov. 17, 2007)—The Milligan College Lady Buffs (1-4) ended the weekend tournament with a loss to Houghton University with a final score of 67-62. The Lady Buffs play today was similar to the way they had played for the rest of the tournament. They fell behind in the beginning but fought hard to come back.

A struggle throughout the first half left the Lady Buffs at an 11 point deficit. But, the girls came back from half time fighting hard and eventually gained the lead. A couple missed opportunities in the end and missed foul shots eventually decided the fate of the Lady Buffs.

Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) was named a member of the All-Tournament Team. Baughman contributed 25 points to today's game and was followed by Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) with 10 points.

Head Coach Rich Aubrey commented, “It was a disappointing loss but hopefully we will be strong enough and smart enough to learn from it.”

The Lady Buff's next match up is Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007.
