Lady Buffs dropped by Montreat
Montreat, N.C. (Sept. 25, 2007) --- The Milligan College volleyball team broke their winning streak Tuesday night against conference opponent Montreat College. The Lady Buffs lost in three straight games to the Lady Cavaliers, 30-28, 30-22, 32-30.
Freshman Erin Biddle (Newport, Tenn.) had 33 assists for the Lady Buffs. Senior Amanda Hyder (Johnson City, Tenn.) converted those assists into 10 kills, leading all Lady Buffs. Freshman Ellyn Sapp (Johnson City, Tenn.) led the way with 17 digs, while senior Alyssa Graber (Montgomery, Ind.) had 15 digs. Senior Emily Rigney (Danville, Ky.) helped pace the Lady Buffs serving two aces.
“We just didn't play very well,” said Milligan College Coach Kim Hyatt . “We need to play harder next time we face them, and we need to focus more on the game and not our competition.”
The Lady Buffs are back in action Thursday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. as they travel to Bluefield College for another AAC match.
