Lady Buffs named Champions of Character
Milligan College, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2009) --- The Milligan College volleyball had several members on the All-AAC squads and were named the Champions of Character, as voted on by the coaches.
Freshman standout Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) was named AAC Freshman of the Year along with being placed on the First team All-AAC team and the All-Freshman team for the AAC.
Joining Spivey on the first team All-AAC team was sophomore Libero Morgan Rutledge (Kingsport, Tenn.), and junior outside hitter Bianca Burnett (Cookeville, Tenn.) received second team All-AAC honors.
The awards were rounded out by Milligan placing three players on the All-Academic team. Seniors Meredith Lynch (Lexington, Ky.), Holly Purdue (Danville, Ind.), and Junior Emilee Hale (Morristown, Tenn.) were all awarded with All-Academic honors.
