Buffs finish second
Bristol, Tenn. (April 1, 2008) --- The Milligan College men's golf team finished second at the Tornado Invitational at the Country Club of Bristol Tuesday. The Buffs battled high winds in route to their respectable finish.
Senior Grayson Patton (Fries, Va.) finished fourth overall with a two round total of 152 (76/76). Freshman Ben Treadway (Johnson City, Tenn.) came in seventh overall at 155 (78/77), while junior Jay Bernhardt (Johnston City, Ill.) was just one stroke behind at 156 (78/78). Freshman Ben Reno (Plainfield, Ind.) rounded out the Buffs top four with a two round total of 159 (79/80).
The Buffs finished the event with a score of 622 (311/311). The host team, King College , won the 36-hole event with a score of 602 (301/301). Brad Weaver of King College won the medalist honors with a score of 145 (72/73).
The Buffs travel to Kingsport, Tenn., Monday, April 7, for the Cavalier Invitational. The 36-hole event is spread out over two days. The tournament is being held at The Ridgefields Country Club. |
