Jones commits to play for Buffs
Milligan College, Tenn. (March 31, 2008) --- The Milligan College men's tennis team is excited to welcome local player Ricky Jones (Elizabethton, Tenn.).
Jones is a 2008 graduate from Elizabethton High School and has received a few academic awards. He received National Honor Roll honors and National Achievement Academy honors. Jones is the son of Ricky Jones Sr., the Pastor of Elizabethton Academy, and Jeannie Jones. Jones plans to be a pre-med major with a minor of exercise science. Not only does Jones succeed in academics but he also succeeded on the courts. Jones was coached by Danny O'Quinn and to the All-Conference team in 2006 and 2007.
“I'm very glad Ricky decided to attend Milligan and play tennis for the Buffs. I've watched Ricky play in high school matches the past several years. He's very deliberate in his approach to tennis. He knows what he wants to do and finds a way to do it. He's possesses a great work ethic wants to be the best he can be on the courts. Milligan will be very proud to have this young man on campus,” commented Head Coach Ron Worrell.
