Lady Buffs battle but Higlanders previal

RADFORD, Va. – The Milligan College women's tennis team fell to Radford who won its' second match in consecutive days with a 6-1 victory this afternoon at Dedmon Center Courts.

Lady Buffs Caitlin Conley (Bristol, Tenn.) and Jessie Rose Remegi (Hilton Head, S.C.) started the no. 2 doubles match brightly but ultimately fell to the NCAA Division I combination of Paige Lindsay and Ally Spector.

Conley once again faced the Lady Highlanders head-on as she took control of the no.2 singles match-up agianst Paige Lindsay by a margin of 6-4, 2-1 (injury). At the no. 1 singles match Melissa Grgat (Melbourne, Australia) bravely fought hard for Milligan but ultimately succumbed to an injury.

“Hopefully playing such a tough Division I school will help the Lady Buffs this weekend when we face two of our AAC foes," commented Head Coach Ron Worrell.

The Milligan College men's and women's plays a dual match at King on Saturday, Apr. 5, at 1pm and then take on UVA-Wise, Apr. 6, at 3pm at the Mathes Tennis Center on the campus of Milligan College.
