Rapp inks with Lady Buffs
Milligan College, Tenn. (Mar. 31, 2008) --- Mason High School senior Megan Rapp has signed an athletic letter of intent to compete in track and field and cross country for the Lady Buffs of Milligan College starting next Fall.
Rapp, who was born as a missionary child in Barcelona, Spain, owns personal bests of 2:29 (800m), 5:29 (Mile), and 12:23 (Two-mile). She ran as the fourth runner on the 5th place team at the Ohio State Cross Country Championships, and has a cross country 5k best of 19:46.
Rapp, who plans to major in English, enjoys fishing, photography, literature and writing, and is active in her church youth group. She has taken two missions trips to Mexico to work with orphans. Her mother and father were both track and field and cross country standouts at Penn State University, and her brother Chris currently runs for the University of Tennessee.
"Megan comes from a running family, but she's such a well-rounded young lady. There's no doubt she's going to be an asset to our entire campus," said head coach Chris Layne.
