Cherokee's Price signs with Milligan
ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (May 7, 2008) --- Ashlee Price, a senior at Cherokee High School in Rogersville, Tenn., has signed a letter of intent and announced that she will continue her academic and athletic careers at Milligan College.
During her senior year at Cherokee, Price averaged 14 points and eight rebounds per game and led her team to a 17-13 finish. She shot 38% from the 3-point line and 76% from the free throw line.
Price was named All-Conference each of her four years at Cherokee and was an All-District and All Northeast Tennessee selection. She is Cherokee's all-time leading rebounder, amassing 814 career rebounds, and is third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,324 points.
Milligan College women's basketball coach Rich Aubrey is excited that Price will be playing for the Lady Buffs.
“I love Ashlee's versatility,” said Aubrey. “She can shoot ‘the 3' very well but she can also score near the basket. She is a good rebounder and very solid fundamentally. We are privileged to have a quality player and a quality person join our program.” |
