Buffs lose close battle to Cavs

Montreat, N.C. (Feb. 23, 2008) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team lost their final conference game of the season to Montreat College on the road Saturday, 83-78.

The Buffs shot 32-58 from the field for 55 percent, and 4-11 for 36 percent from beyond the arc. The Cavs shot 30-60 from the field for 50 percent, and 10-25 for 40 percent from beyond the arc.

The Buffs were led offensively by sophomore Danny McKeehan (Morrow, Ohio). McKeehan scored 18 points and four rebounds. Junior Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds, while fellow junior Tyler Estepp (Limestone, Tenn.) had 17 points and four steals.

The Buffs gear up for the AAC Tournament which kicks off Feb. 27 and ends March 2. The tournament is being played at Tennessee High School 's Viking Hall, in Bristol, Tenn.
