Buffs fall short at Union
Barboursville, Ky. (Feb. 16, 2008) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team fell short Saturday night at Union College. The Buffs lost the contest 72-63 in regulation.
Milligan shot 24-57 from the field for 42 percent, and 3-10 from beyond the arc for 30 percent. Union shot 29-54 for 54 percent, and 8-17 for 47 percent from beyond the arc.
Junior Tyler Estepp (Limestone, Tenn.) and sophomore Danny McKeehan (Morrow, Ohio) led the Buffs offensively with 11 points apiece. McKeehan tallied four rebounds, while Estepp had three in the contest. Junior Jeff Barnes (Franklin, Tenn.) recorded a double-double on the night with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
“Tonight was another game of runs,” said Milligan College Coach Tony Wallingford . “We got down early, but battled back and tied the game up at half time. We got down again in the second half, but were not able to recover. Hopefully we can learn from tonight and continue to improve.”
The Buffs host Johnson Bible College Monday, January 18, in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
