Milligan signs standout pitcher
Mt. Juliet, Tenn. (Feb. 1, 2008) --- Wilson Central High School pitching stand out, Jessica Faircloth, signed with the Milligan College Lady Buffs on January 30, 2008.
Faircloth pitched a 12-1 junior season at Wilson Central with a 1.60 ERA. She also hit for a .229 batting average. She is also an excellent student and will, therefore, add to Milligan in the classroom.
Faircloth's high school coach talked to Milligan, “You can always expect 110 percent effort from Jessica when she is on the field. We will defiantly miss her next year.
Milligan's Coach Holly commented on the addition, “We are happy Jessica chose Milligan to continue her academic/athletic career. She is a quality person as well as an excellent player. We look for her to bring a lot to our softball program next year. Ironically, her Aunt April, a former Belmont University pitcher, competed against Milligan in the mid-nineties. We are very excited that Jessica will compete for Milligan, instead of against us.
