Lady Buffs struggle indoors

Brevard, N.C. (Feb. 24, 2008) --- The Lady Buffs tennis team faced Lees-McRae and suffered a tough loss. The Lady Buffs lost 0-9 but battled all day.

In the doubles the Lady Buffs were able to put on a strong performance. The duo of Melly Grgat (Melbourne, Australia) and Sara Hopson (Greeneville, Tenn.) played well and stayed close to their opponent, but ultimately fell 6-8.

On the single side of things, Caitlin Conley (Bristol, Tenn.) posted the best match against her opponent but again just fell short of the victory. The Lady Buffs saw no match victories in the singles division.

“It's tough to lose a match 9-0 but I did see some good things happening that will help us win future matches. Lees McRae has a good team and should do well in their conference,” commented Head Coach Ron Worrell.
