Close game for Lady Buffs

Lookout Mtn., Ga. (Feb. 13, 2008) --- The Lady Buffs women's basketball team had another close game, but just came up short as they fell to Covenant College 61-63.

The Lady Buffs were lead by Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Hali Sparks (Erwin, Tenn.) rounded out the Lady Buffs that were in double digits with 10 points. The Lady Buffs trailed at half time by two and just came up short.

“This was a disappointing loss but we just need to regroup and get prepared for Saturday,” commented Head Coach Rich Aubrey.

The Lady Buffs will be back in action Saturday, February 16, at 4:00 pm. The will travel to Barboursville, Ky. to face Union College.
