Lady Buffs suffer heart felt loss

Barboursville, Ky. (Feb. 16, 2008) --- The Milligan College women's basketball team had another challenging game against Union College. The Lady Buffs lost in regulation 70-78.

The Lady Buffs played a physical game and were led by Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) with 19 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va ) scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Lady Buffs. Kara Monk (Oliver Springs, Tenn.) was the only other player to score in double figures for the Lady Buffs with 13 points. Hali Sparks (Erwin, Tenn.) led the Lady Buffs in assists, compiling four.

“I was very pleased with our team effort tonight, unfortunately we just came up on the wrong end of things when it mattered most,” commented Head Coach Rich Aubrey.
