Unicoi's Harris signs with Milligan
Milligan College, Tenn. (Feb. 29, 2008) --- Unicoi County High School standout golfer, Isaac Harris has signed a letter of intent to attend Milligan College and play golf for the Buffs. Milligan golf coach Tony Wallingford made the announcement this afternoon.
Harris is a 2007 TSSAA State Qualifier (A-AA). He also earned All-Conference and All-Region, finishing in the top 3. As a junior, Harris helped lead the Blue Devils to the 2006 District Championship. That year he finished in the top 6 at the regional match.
Harris joins a Milligan program that is coming off their most successful season in school history. The Buffs won the AAC Championship, the NAIA Region XII Championship and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament at the Indiana National Golf Club in Plymouth , IN.
Milligan Wallingford is happy to have Harris join the Buffs. “I look forward to having Isaac with us. He has loads of potential and more importantly is a hard worker. He will help us right away, and as is the case with all of our guys, he is a great student and a great kid,” concluded Wallingford .
Harris plans a major in Biology or History at Milligan. He is the son of Roger and Elizabeth Harris of Unicoi.
