Milligan College, Tenn. (Feb. 23, 2009) --- The Milligan College baseball team's Head Coach Nathan Meade announced Monday the signing of two more student athletes to the 2009-2010 signing class.

Caleb Mancuso from Johnson City , Tenn., (Science Hill H.S.) and Brett Maddux from Lake Butler, Fla., (Union County H.S.) are the newest members to the Buffaloes' signing class.

Science Hill's Mancuso produced a batting average of .425 and collected 15 stolen bases for the Hilltoppers in 2008. He also starred on the mound, posting a 1.15 ERA and had three saves. Brett Maddux capped off his high school career under Head Coach Terry Stroemer in 2007 starting in every game and produced a .451 batting average, 37 hits, 37 RBIs, seven doubles, and nine home runs. Brett started his college career at Lake City Community College under Head Coach Tom Clark before deciding to take a year off and go into the ministry.

“We are excited to have Brett and Caleb join our program,” said Meade. "They are both outstanding athletes and even better individuals. We feel like both of these young men will make an impact on our program early in their careers on and off the field."

Mancuso has a 3.5 GPA and is undecided in his major. He lives in Johnson City with his parents Mark and Mary Jane Mancuso. Maddux graduated from high school with a 3.56 GPA and intends to major in youth ministry. He lives in Lake Butler, Fla., with his parents Cindy and Larry Maddux.
