Buffs' Gallo named AAC Pitcher of the Week

Milligan College, Tenn. (March 11, 2009) --- Junior Mike Gallo (Peabody, Mass.) of the Milligan College men's baseball team was named AAC Pitcher of the Week after pitching 14 innings in two games without an earned run last week.

In the Buffs' 6-0 victory against Warner Southern University, Gallo threw a complete-game shutout. He also helped his team out with seven strikeouts.

In another blowout win Sunday, the Buffs defeated UVA-Wise 6-1. Gallo pitched 7 1/3 innings, recording another seven strikeouts and allowing only two hits.

For the season, Gallo is 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA and 19 strikeouts.
