Meade, Buffs annouce first 2009-10 signee
Milligan College, Tenn. (Sept. 26, 2008) --- The Milligan College men's baseball team signed their first player to the 2009-2010 roster, announced Head Coach Nathan Meade earlier this week. Brandon Massey, an infielder from David Crockett High School, has signed to play his college baseball career at Milligan College.
Massey boasted a .450 average with runners in scoring position, and had a .699 slugging percentage during his junior year for the Pioneers. Massey also tallied 40 RBIs on the season.
Over the past three years at David Crockett, Massey was selected to the All-Conference, Johnson City Super 22, Bristol and Kingsport All-Region squads. Massey was an honorable mention all-state selection last year as a junior.
“Brandon is the all around package,” commented Meade. “He's a solid baseball player, a good student, and an outstanding person. He's a great fit athletically and academically as well.”
Brandon resides in Jonesborough, Tenn., with his grandparents Steve and Rachel Massey. Brandon plans to study business at Milligan.
