Lake Land's Woodason inks with Buffs
Milligan College, Tenn. (Jan. 19, 2009) --- The Milligan College baseball team recently signed junior college standout, Andrew Woodason, to play for the Buffs next season. Woodason is currently a sophomore at Lake Land College (Mattoon, Ill.).
Woodason, a 6'3 infielder, started in 40 games for the Lakers as a freshman. At the plate, Woodason had 112 at bats with 41 hits. Woodason boasted a .366 batting average, including five doubles and 23 walks.
We are excited to be able to add Andrew to our signing class, commented Head Coach Nathan Meade . He has the potential to be a very good hitter for us over the next two years. Andrew has succeeded in a very tough junior college league and we expect him to do the same for us.
Woodason hails from Terre Haute, Ind., where he played his high school ball at Terre Haute North Vigo. Andrew is the son of Rob and Kim Woodason and plans to major in business with a concentration on legal issues.
