Milligan Baseball brings home AAC Awards
Milligan College, Tenn. (May 6, 2009) --- The Milligan College baseball team marked several members to the All-AAC and All-Academic squads, as announced this week.
Junior transfer Colin Duffie (Calhoun, Ga.) received All-AAC recognition for his performance this past season on the mound. Duffie's 1.88 ERA led the AAC and ranked him seventh in the NAIA. On the year, Duffie boasted an overall record of 8-3 in 76.2 innings of work.
Sullivan East product, Jason Trivett (Bristol, Tenn.), was the next Buff to receive All-AAC honors. As a sophomore, Trivett broke the Milligan College school record for saves in a season as he recorded 12 this year in 26.1 innings of work. Trivett's 12 saves currently ranks him fifth in the NAIA. Trivett also had the teams third lowest ERA as he finished the year at 2.73.
Both Duffie and Trivett were selected to the All-Academic team as well. Also receiving All-Academic honors were senior Brandon Murphy (Johnson City, Tenn.), senior Mark Simo (Sheffield, Ohio), junior Brandon Barnett (Elizabethton, Tenn.) and junior Eric Oxley (Ardmore, Tenn.).
