Buffs fall to Bulldogs in double-header

Athens, Tenn. (April 13, 2009) --- The Milligan College men's baseball team (29-11, 13-5) completed the first two games of a three-game series against Tennessee Wesleyan College Saturday, falling to the Bulldogs in both games of the double-header.

The final scores were 2-4 in the first game and 3-7 in the second game.

In the first game, the Buffs struggled to face Tennesse Wesleyan's starting pitcher. But in the fifth inning, Milligan pulled out to score two runs off the Bulldogs' reliever. Nonetheless, two runs were not enough to defeat the opponent's four.

In the second game, the Buffs scored three runs on five hits, facing the same pitcher throughout.

Milligan had no errors in the field all day.

Due to rain, the teams scheduled the final matchup of the three-game series for Tuesday, April 14. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Athens, Tenn.
