Hilltoppers' Patterson inks with Buffs
Milligan College, Tenn. (June 17, 2009) --- The Milligan College baseball team signed Science Hill standout Nathaniel Patterson for the 2009-10 season, announced Head Coach Nathan Meade.
Patterson led the Hilltoppers to a Big 9 regular season and tournament championship this past season. As a senior, Patterson boasted a team best .433 batting average with 39 RBIs on the season, as well as a slugging percentage of .692. Patterson made nine appearances on the mound for the Hilltoppers this season with a record of 1-1.
Patterson was named to the All-District tournament team and was an All-Big 9 first team selection.
“We're excited about having Nathaniel in our program,” commented Meade. “We're eager to get him here this fall and really push him not only on the field but in the weight room as well. He's a good kid that comes from a solid family and we are looking forward to what he is going to bring to the table over the next four years.”
Nathaniel is the son of Pat and Debbie Patterson of Johnson City, Tenn., and intends to study education while at Milligan.
