
Buffs' golf inks first Canadian player
Milligan College, Tenn. (May 6, 2009) --- The Milligan College men's golf team inked their first Canadian player Wednesday afternoon as Kody Fawcett signed his letter of intent to become a Buffalo.
Fawcett, a native of Selkirk, Manitoba, had a stroke average of 74 for his junior and senior years at Lord Selkirk Regional High School. As a junior, Fawcett won two events on the prestigious Maple Leaf Jr. Golf Tour. Fawcett currently carries a USGA Index of 0.
“Kody is a hard worker and has a lot of potential,” commented Head Coach Tony Wallingford. “We look forward to having a young man like Kody in our program next fall.”
Fawcett intends to major in human performance and exercise science at Milligan. He is the son of Keith and Denise Fawcett of Selkirk, Manitoba.
