Buffs' adds three more for 2009-10
Milligan College, Tenn. (June 3, 2009) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team added three more players last week for the 2009-10 roster. Cypress Bay Hill's Eric Trujillo, Sullivan Central's Tyler DeVault and Christopher Dock Mennonite's Rob Larsen all signed their letter of intent to attend Milligan College and play for the Buffs this season.

Trujillo, a point guard from Miami, Fla., led the Cypress Bay Hill Lightning to a stellar 21-5 record averaging 15 points, seven assists and three rebounds per game. As a senior he was selected to the All-Tournament team at the George Taylor Classic as well as being ranked in the top five players in the prestigious DWI Holliday Classic in Binghamton, N.Y. Trujillo was recently chosen to play in the BCAA All-Star game in Broward County.
“Eric is an explosive point guard with the ability to make his teammates better,” said Head Coach Bill Robinson . “He gets great elevation on his jump shot and has the ability to be a shut-down defender. We are extremely excited about his addition to our program and the Milligan Community.”
Trujillo is the son of Nivio and Denise Trujillo and plans to major in sports management this fall.
DeVault, a forward from Blountville, Tenn., averaged 12.6 points and six rebounds for Sullivan Central this past season. An All-Big 9 second team selection, DeVault led the Cougars to a 16-13 record overall and was the team's MVP.
Tyler is the son of Tony and Deanna DeVault and plans to major in biology while at Milligan.
“We are thrilled that Tyler has decided to continue his career at Milligan,” added Robinson. “He is a very skilled player with unlimited potential. He is also a great student from an excellent high school program. He fits in perfectly with our style of play and we look forward to seeing him improve over the next few years.”
Larsen, a guard from Pennsylvania, rounds out the trio of signees for the Buffs. As a senior at Christopher Dock Mennonite, Larsen led the team to a 17-9 record overall. The senior averaged six points, two assists and one steal a game, while shooting an impressive 82 percent from the charity stripe.
Larsen is the son of Tom and JudyAnn Larsen and plans to study psychology in the fall at Milligan.
“I have known Rob and his family for many years,” commented Robinson. “He is a good basketball player and an even better kid. We are glad that he decided to continue his basketball career at Milligan College. He will be a great addition to our family.”
