Buffs sign New Zealand standout

Milligan College, Tenn. (July 13, 2009) --- The Milligan College men’s basketball team recently signed New Zealand standout Cameron Stuart to play basketball for the Buffs next season.

Stuart, a 6-foot-6 forward, hails from Auckland, New Zealand, where he attended Rangitoto College. While in prep school, Stuart led his team to a 7th place finish at the national tournament last season as he averaged 26 points per game for the tournament. Stuart was a 3-time MVP selection at Rangitoto and was named the “Most Promising Basketball Player.”

“Cam is an explosive scorer with the ability to play multiple positions,” commented Head Coach Bill Robinson. “At 6-foot-6, he is a wing player who can post up smaller defenders or shoot from beyond three-point range. He is also an excellent defender. We feel that Cam is a very important piece to our puzzle and we have very high expectations from him. His experience has prepared him to be an immediate impact player.”

Cameron is the son of Bruce and Kimmaree Stuart, and intends to major in human performance and exercise science.
