Cavanaugh named Scholar All-American
Milligan College, Tenn. (July 2, 2009) --- Milligan College swimmer Eron Cavanaugh (Plainfield, Ind.) was recently named an All- American Scholar Athlete by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
In his first collegiate swimming season, Cavanaugh broke the Milligan College swim record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.78 at this year’s NAIA National Swimming and Diving Championships. He was also a member of four record breaking relay squads in the 200 medley, the 400 medley, the 200 freestyle and the 400 freestyle.
“Eron is a perfect example of a student-athlete,” commented Head Coach Ron Goehring. “He works hard in the pool and in the classroom. We are very proud of what he has accomplished during his freshman season.”
