Hopson, Upshaw highlight AAC Awards

Milligan College, Tenn. (April 28, 2009) --- After finishing their season last week, the Milligan College men's and women's tennis teams received awards for performance, character, and academic standing.

Senior Sarah Hopson (Greeneville, Tenn.) was named Duard Walker Sportswoman of the Year, in addition to receiving the All-Sportsmanship award. Hopson was named to both the All-Conference Team and the All-Academic Team.

Also for the women, sophomore Caitlin Conley (Bristol, Tenn.) joined Hopson on the All-Conference Team. Freshman Albany Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) also received the All-Sportsmanship award, while sophomore Heather Bell (Franklin, N.C.) was awarded All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Junior Bryan Upshaw (Kingsport, Tenn.) stood out in all three arenas and was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team, the All-Academic Team, and was awarded All-Conference Honorable Mention.
