New Jersey's Lawler signs with Milligan
Milligan College, Tenn. (May 5, 2009) --- Lacey Township High School senior David Lawler of Lanoka Harbor, N.J. announced this week he plans to compete for the nationally-ranked Buffaloes of Milligan College this fall.
Lawler, who competes in both cross country and track and field, owns a cross country 5000-meter best of 16:43 from the 2008 Shore Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships. He has earned All-County honors to go along with three varsity letters in track and cross country.
“David's focus on athletics and academics makes for a great fit at Milligan College. I think he has tremendous potential at the collegiate level,” said head coach Chris Layne .
The three year Honor Roll student has also been a member of the National Honor Society. Lawler, who plans to major in ministry, is the son of Ed and Kimberly Lawler.
