
Lady Buffs' basketball inks Fulton's Dailey
Milligan College, Tenn. (May 12, 2009) --- The Milligan College women's basketball team signed Fulton High School's Victoria Dailey for the 2009-10 roster last week.
As a senior, Dailey averaged 10.4 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, and 2.8 steals per game. Over the course of her career, Dailey finished sixth on Fulton's all-time scoring list as she tallied 982 points. Dailey's was named to the All-District squad and the All-KIL team her junior and senior years. She helped lead her high school squad to its first ever District Championship and the program's first 20 win season.
“Victoria has been a 4-year starter and a major contributor in the turning around of our program here at Fulton High School,” said Fulton Head Coach John Fisher.
Dailey, the daughter of Keith and Danetta Dailey, plans to major in human performance and exercise science next fall at Milligan. Along with Dailey's basketball scholarship, she was also awarded with the Academic Dean's Scholarship.
“We are thrilled to have such an outstanding student-athlete as Victoria join our program,” commented Head Coach Rich Aubrey. “We expect her to contribute immediately at the guard spot.”
The Lady Buffs graduated six seniors off of this year's squad that went 20-12 overall and 13-5 in league play. The Lady Buffs were crowned AAC regular season co-champions and will return leading scorer and All-American honorable-mention selection Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.).
