Milligan College Buffaloes

Milligan College, Tenn. (Jan. 6, 2010) --- The Milligan College Baseball announced three additional signings for the 2010-2011 signing class. Head Coach Nathan Meade made the announcement.

Nate Wright, an infielder, is a transfer student from Wilkes Community College in Lincolnton, N.C. N. Wright played in 47 games at Wilkes Community College last season and sported a .340 batting average bringing in 41 RBIs and six homeruns.

“We’re excited about the athleticism Nate brings to our infield,” Meade said. “That along with the fact that he comes from a quality program that knows how to win is exactly what we were looking for. He is a quality addition to both our program and our school.”

Nate is the son of Tommy and Tammy Wright, and plans on majoring in Bible at Milligan.

The next Buffs’ signee is Happy Valley product, Dustin Clawson. Clawson, a catcher is hitting near the .300 mark, including 25 RBIs, three homeruns and was walked 22 times.

"Dustin is a good addition to our program,” Meade said. “We're excited about his work ethic and mentality that he brings with him. He is a good fit here both academically and athletically."

Clawson is the son of Tim and Carol Clawson of Elizabethton, Tenn., and plans on majoring in Physical Therapy during his time at Milligan.

Rounding out the trio is right handed pitcher, Logan Wright. Logan is in his final season on the mound for the Hilltoppers of Science Hill.

“Logan is a great kid with a lot of potential that comes from a solid program in Science Hill,” added Meade on L. Wright. “We’re excited to get him in the program next fall. He’s a good fit here both athletically and academically.”

Logan is the son of Steve and Mikki Wright of Johnson City, Tenn.
