Milligan adds pair to tennis program

Milligan College, Tenn. (Feb. 3, 2010) --- The Milligan College Tennis announced the addition of two players to their squad for the spring portion of the season. Head Coach Ron Worrell made the announcement.

Kody Horne joins the men’s team after a year at Cumberland University. The sophomore from Summertown, Tenn., had a very successful high school career as his doubles team captured the 2006-07 District and Region Championships, while Horne was the 2008 singles champion in his District and Region.

Kody is the son of Bryan and Tonya Horne, and plans on studying International Business during his time at Milligan.

Freshman Celeste Carpenter also joins the women’s side of the Milligan tennis program. Carpenter was homeschooled, and hails from Mountain City, Tenn. She looks to have an immediate impact on the Lady Buff tennis program.

Sara is the daughter of Crystal Kirk, and has not declared a major during her first year as a student at Milligan.
