Spivey joins Lady Buffs
Milligan College, Tenn. (March 13, 2009) --- Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Virginia) , a 5'10 setter from Gate City High School, has signed with the Milligan Lady Buffs volleyball team for the 2009-10 season.
Spivey, a four year varsity player for Gate City High School, led her team to a state championship title for a second time in her four years this past season. She is a three-time All-District and All-Region setter of the year and a two-time All-Region player of the year and one-time All-District Player of the year. Spivey was named Virginia State Player of the year this past season and was also named to the 2nd Team All State sophomore year and 1st team All State her junior and senior year.
I'm so excited about Chelsea choosing Milligan, commented Head Coach Doneva Bays. She is a competitor that knows how to win. She comes from a very successful program and has a tremendous amount of athletic ability. She is a great addition to our volleyball program and to Milligan College.
