ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (May 7, 2008) --- Ashlee Price, a senior at Cherokee High School in Rogersville, Tenn., has signed a letter of intent and announced that she will continue her academic and athletic careers at Milligan College.
During her senior year at Cherokee, Price averaged 14 points and eight rebounds per game and led her team to a 17-13 finish. She shot 38% from the 3-point line and 76% from the free throw line.
Price was named All-Conference each of her four years at Cherokee and was an All-District and All Northeast Tennessee selection. She is Cherokee's all-time leading rebounder, amassing 814 career rebounds, and is third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,324 points.
Milligan College women's basketball coach Rich Aubrey is excited that Price will be playing for the Lady Buffs.
Viking Hall, Tenn. (Feb. 28, 2008) --- The Lady Buffs women's basketball team were dominate throughout the entire game, leading 49-27 at half-time, and then finishing 92-62 to defeat Bryan College in the first round of the AAC tournament.
The Lady Buffs had many players contribute to their final score. Freshman standout and strong competitor Heather Mandela (Fairfax, Va.) led the way for the Lady Buffs with 16 points and eight rebounds. Local sensation and consistent performer Rikki Baughman (Elizabethton, Tenn.) had another strong performance. The guard play was outstanding for the Lady Buffs from start to finish.
