Worrell served as the head men's tennis coach at East Tennessee State University in 1973-74, then moved on the Virginia Intermont College where he became both the men's and women's head coach in 1998. He served as the women's head coach until 2001 and led the men's squad until 2004 Coach Worrell also served as the men's and women's head coach at Brevard College from 2004-05. While at Virginia Intermont, Worrell was selected the Appalachian Athletic Conference's men's Coach of the Year five times and selected the NAIA Region XII Coach of the Year three times. Worrell has coached three NAIA All-Americans and led his teams to the NAIA National Championship four times. Coach Worrell graduated from Milligan in 1970 with a double major in health and physical education. Worrell has completed 39-hours towards his master's degree at ETSU. After her collegiate tennis career, Parsons served as an instructor at the Air Force Academy and as an assistant coach for three seasons. Parsons also served as an acquisition officer at Peterson Air Force Base, between 2003 and 2006.
